Kuwnee puy么muw (Welcome) to Weetumuw Katnuht么ht芒kamuq!

Our mission at Weetumuw Katnuht么ht芒kamuq is to "prepare students ages 3-10 for academic excellence and community leadership by instilling traditional Wampanoag values through W么pan芒ak language immersion and culture-based education for decolonization using a Montessori pedagogy.

“Weetumuw Katnuht么ht芒kamuq students are immersed in Wampanoag language and culture in a safe, healthy, and loving environment, with the goal of fostering academic excellence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of personal, community, and cultural pride.”

Our school relies heavily on family and community involvement. Parents are asked to contribute to many aspects of our school in support of their children by attending language classes, attending meetings and events, bringing snacks, volunteering time, making donations, and lending expertise, to name some ways families have helped in the past. We also expect that all our families will uphold Weetumuw Katnuht么ht芒kamuq values: quhshuhk么tam8么k (respect), s么pw芒nuqus8么k (honesty), kutum么ty芒nutam8么k (compassion), ah芒p芒么k (humility), wut8芒nutam8么k (bravery), and t芒put么tam8么k (gratitude).
