I/We recognize that the Montessori Primary Program is a THREE YEAR program wherein a child normally enters at age 3, remains through age 5 or 6 thus fulfilling the educational requirements for 'traditional kindergarten.' I/We understand and agree that if our child is accepted into Cleveland Montessori, we intend to utilize the fullness of the program by enrolling for the entire Primary cycle (3-4 years).
I/We recognize that these programs are 5-6 year and 2-3 years in duration, where a child normally enters in first grade and remains through the completion of the program. I/We understand that this full duration is necessary for the child to properly benefit from the Montessori experience.
I/We recognize that the class placement is at the sole discretion of the school based on pedagogical criterion.
I/We acknowledge that Cleveland Montessori requires parental participation. Each family is required to contribute a minimum of 20 hours of community service hours through fundraising activities, classroom volunteer tasks, chaperoning field trips, parent committees.
I/We understand that Cleveland Montessori incorporates the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a religious formation curriculum offered at all levels and that I/we can opt for our child to participate in this curriculum if desired.
I/We understand that transportation to and from school is the sole responsibility of the parents/guardian.
I/We understand that financial aid assistance may be available through state funded scholarship programs (Cleveland Scholarship, Ed Choice, Ed Choice Expansion). In order to be considered it is the responsibility of the parents to provide necessary applications and documents to the school in a timely manner. Parents are also responsible for submitting income documentation to the state to be considered for low income status. State scholarships may be applied to regular tuition only. All scholarship recipients are still responsible for payment of Registration Fees, Activity Fees, Before/After Care Fees, and (if not low income qualified) the balance of tuition.

The application process for Cleveland Montessori requires the following:

*Completed Application and submission of $50 application fee
*Parent/Guardian Observation
*Parent/Guardian meeting with Admissions Director
*Child’s interview/visit in the classroom
*Receipt of official records from applicant’s previous and current school(s), including any psychological evaluations, IEPs, discipline records, if applicable
*Copy of child’s birth certificate AND custody documents if applicable
