​Summer Outdoor fun for School-Age Kids!

Join us for a series of two-week special summer camps that include exploration, independence, social time with friends and a lot of time in nature. (1st-9th Grade).

We will have two classrooms for our school. Ages are incoming grades for the 21/22 School Year.

  • Group 1: 1st – 4th grade
  • Group 2: 5th-9th grade

Each theme lasts for two weeks, although there is the option to register for one week at a time, or you can sign up for all 9 weeks for a discounted rate. Teachers and students may change weekly.

Schedules & Fees

1 Week Sessions

  • Full Day Summer Rate – 9:00-3:30 – $450 per week
  • Extended Day Rate – 8:00-5:00 – $600 per week

9 Week Enrollment Option

  • Full Day Summer Rate – 9:00-3:30 – $3,700 for all 9 weeks
  • Extended Day Rate – 8:00-5:00 – $5,000 for all 9 weeks.

Please note:

  • You will be billed $10 per week non-refundable Summer Camp Supply Fee at the time of registration. Each Camper will receive a Summer Camp T-Shirt.
  • No summer camp cancellation after June 1, 2021

Summer Session Registration and Sunscreen Policy

No summer camp cancellation after June 1, 2021.

Please apply sunscreen to your child in the morning before heading to school. If sunscreen should need to be applied to your child in the afternoon, please email Allison Sadler (allison@mchkids.com) for the sunscreen authorization form. Please note that sunscreen must be provided by the parent and the authorization form must be complete in order for us to be able to apply sunscreen for your child.

Weekly Options

This session, campers explore native plants and animals and learn about the life cycle of various specimens in the Pacific Northwest. We will study the various adaptations plants and animals use to their advantage and how that helps contribute to their survival and reproduction.

These weeks campers explore native plants and animals to learn about their roles in our campus forest and wetland ecosystems. We will study the various adaptations plants and animals use to their advantage and how that helps contribute to their survival and reproduction. We will collect information about the microclimates and investigate why certain organisms thrive in specific locations.

This session, campers study maps and use their new skills to map out campus trails to hikes. We will also study types of maps, and how to navigate the night sky. Campers will take turns bringing home a sky journal to build a collaborative experience of stargazing.

This week, campers will immerse themselves in flower pressing, textile stamping using fruits and vegetable, and learn how to ID plants and trees using texture, color and shape. Campers will also be invited to bring a white clothing item from home for our tie-dye day!

Campers will spend the week designing, planning and creating a nature-immersion end of week celebration, full of fun activities, obstacle courses, nature-based decorations, and much more.

Emergency Information

Please list your Emergency Contacts in order of how you want us to call them in case of an emergency. Please indicate the order in which you and the additional contacts should be called in the event of illness, injury, or other unusual circumstances that should arise during school hours. We need at least two emergency contacts (not living with the student) and an out of state contact on file.
